The past couple of years, maybe more, there has been an AD truck gathering at Franklin Indiana, Johnson County Fairgrounds. I'm wondering if it will be held again this year. It was in September as I recall. I know that the swap meet will still take place, I'm just wondering if there will be a big AD truck presence ??

Yes, it continues to grow every year. This year sounds like at least 150 AD's pre-registered already. Dad and I go every year and always have a great time.
There is a Convoy of Trucks coming up from the South. PaPa Joe and I will be there.

Arrived in Franklin safely. Looking forward to seeing fellow Stovebolters this weekend. Sounds like the show is on pace to be one of the biggest Franklin AD Nationals yet.

YES! Great show with great people, and a solid swap meet. Dad and I will be there September 18th and 19th. (Probably go down Thursday night and head home Sunday morning)
I don't believe that PaPa Joe and I will make it this year, we had a BLAST last year, it was worth the 1700 mile round trip.

Still thinking about it, but it is the weekend after the KC Roundup. I,ll see what the boss (Vicki) thinks this weekend. I really don’t think she will be up for it, so that may get me a “Just Go” responce from her. Tom, what hotel are you staying at? I may just go ahead and book it for that weekend?

Well, I said the heck with it and booked Thursday thru Sunday at the Quality Inn in Franklin.
As an old timer told me years ago,”It is easier to get forgiveness than permission”. I have found out over the years, his words work for me.

Great to hear Don! Dad and I usually stay at the Baymont, which is walking distance to the Quality Inn. "JustMark" attends every year as well and it's a great time. When we get closer, keep us posted on your travels so we can meet up. Looking forward to it!
Tom, I should have the 53 with me including the Stovebolt flag and the U.S. flag and hope we can park together. Should I pre register, or register when I get to the show?

Don, Yes, we can definitely park together. We should have a good Stovebolt section along with Just Mark. It's a much smaller show than Townsend, so much easier to manage. Up to you on the pre-registration. It works the same as Townsend. You can pre-register and then pay/check-in when you get there. Your registration always pays for your entrance to the swap meet, so when you get to the fairgrounds, you just tell them at the gate that you are with the AD Nationals truck show, and they will let you through without paying them. (Otherwise, you would be paying twice.) We usually get there Thursday night and leave our trailer at the fairgrounds. They have a fenced in parking area for trailers that works out well. Looking forward to it. It's great to see all the trucks, walk the swap meet a few times, and then of course hang out with friends!
I'm planning on bringing my Stovebolt 54' that I am currently updating to 12volts thanks to a generous donation by Tuts.....speaking of....Tuts, There's still plenty of time to change your mind and join us!

Craig, you are welcome to bunk with me, I really don’t think Vicki will be with me. The room is paid for so, it will be free lodging and breakfast for three days.
By the way, Vicki does not know about this trip yet! If she bakes some cookies for the Roundup, I’ll bring the leftovers. Yes, I live life kind of on the edge.
