For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,837 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,837 | For awhile this morning, I could not connect with the Bolt online. It kept saying "Invalid SSL certificate" Anyone else have this problem? Tried both my laptop and my phone, with same result. So instead, I decided to take the truck out for a spin. Now, I'm back home and more importantly back online.
Less than 5 minutes after I posted this thread, it now suddenly said "SSLhandshake failed" and I had to wait 5+ minutes before it let me in.

He's still working on it.

The problem was, I was unaware I had defined the cert in two places. The second place turned out to take precedence, so when it expired, the site was unreachable. In the process of fixing things, I didn't notice that I had deleted a critical line in the config, so for a short period of time, we went back down. It's all fixed now and should be good for years to come. We were using certs that had to be renewed every 90 days, which was a major PITA. Now, our cert is good for 15 years. so that pain point has been removed. | | |
