I have a 49 Chevy Panel with 6 bolt, 6:00 x 16 tires and rims. Super old tires that still hold air. About to be roadworthy. Need to replace with something safe and hopefully cost effective. Would also like something taller at least in the rear (stock 4:11). Any input would be appreciated. Thank you
PS I did try a search of the site but was unsuccessful.

Leo called it. That is the modern radial size closest to the original bias ply size. They're 30+ or so inches in diameter so you'll be able to travel down the highway faster at lower engine rpm.

The good thing is there are plenty of different brands to choose from on Amazon for about $100 each.

Not if they're in good shape with no rust inside. Make sure the beads are smooth and true.

A friend of mine had some '58 Cadillac Sabre wheels that are riveted together. They wood gradually leak air through some of the riveted areas.

He painted the inside of all the wheels with Flex Seal and hasn't had any leak downs , since.

Here's a highly rated reasonably priced option I see on Amazon
