I’m always confused by parts searches. This search has a FEL-PRO set , a B-2 and a B-3, on Amazon. Is there a difference? Appreciate the guidance , in advance!

For starters you will have to find out your year of 261,looks like the early ones in 54 had the older water pump ,you could also look on the review section on the Amazon ones to see if anyone posted any problems in fitting .
The 1954/early 55 261s will have a high water pump and a straight oil pan gasket. Late 55 through 62 has a low pump and an offset in the passenger's side pan rail for clearance for a bigger oil pump. Jerry

Charley - A web check shows neither of the Felpro B-2 or B-3 gasket sets fit a 261. The B-2 is for 1937-53 216's and 235's, while the B-3 is for 1953-62 235's according to the Felpro site.
Felpro only lists one full engine overhaul gasket set for all 1954-62 Chevy 261's - FS 7782 B.
Lots of sources offering the Felpro FS 7782 B sets, like this one from Rock Auto FS7782B, which happens to be the best price I found across all offers.

Recommend Rock Auto. They ship to Canada at a reasonable price without any border hassles. (I just got burned by FedEx - a bill arrived a week after the package arrived, asking for more money )
I'll 2nd Gord's comment, with my own example of getting burned after the fact. I ordered a couple of old Canadian Chevy/GMC Maintenance Manuals from ebay sellers in Canada, after confirming there would be no tariffs applied to the purchases (they were exempt from tariffs). Both shipments were done through UPS. I got bills from UPS for both shipments, about a week after the fact, charging me a $10 each "brokerage fee" for processing the purchases through customs. Booo - Hisss
Edit Note: I'm going to order one of these gasket sets from Rock Auto as I need one and didn't realize they were priced this low.

Fed ex is terrible they phone me before delivery on a part that was 5.00 and was missing from an earlier order and wanted 20.00 for duties and broker fees .Rock auto is good so far with shipping to Canada

Yes, Gord, fed ex has done that to me too. I’m confident this Fel Pro gasket is right for my later 261
