I have a '46 and it looks similar to mine. Not sure on the value. Maybe check Ebay to see if they have anything listed.

That looks just like the one I have on my '51, but it's origin is unknown. It was on a '58 235 that I bought that was originally going to go in a '37 pickup.

I'd say it's worth $100, but that's just a swag.

Looks identical to the one sitting atop my '51 3100's "1954 Chevy car 235" installed by my Grandpa way back sometime. I can't verify its origins either, like Kevin's, but does very much resemble the pictured "oil bath air cleaner" in the 1948-51 Chevy Shop Manual.

Yeah, that sounds about right on price. wink

Thanks guys. Got quite a few truck parts in my stash which I know I'll never use so why not do some unloading....... Will continue to research the year of this filter and yes Dan, it does look a lot like yours. Thanks

I have decided to let this air cleaner go. Have posted the ad with all proceeds going to the bolt

Indeed -- Thank you, Craig!! Although we very much appreciate the monetary donations (especially at server or HQ computer upgrade time ... or "downgrade" now with Windows 11 frown ), we also greatly appreciate your knowledge sharing contributions to the community. Folks don't come to Stovebolt.com for the graphics or our hardware setup -- they come because folks like you have shared vast amounts of knowledge to build this into the premier old GM truck info/expertise source going.

Thanks!
