I doubt that O'Riley's has a pan gasket set that will fit much less have choices of thickness. I have been building GMC engines for almost 70 years. The only choice around may be Best 28011. There are eBay sellers that sell them. Do a search for 28011 gasket set.

Actually O'Reilly's website shows 5 different thicknesses. All are special order at least where I am.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.

I did a bit of web searching for the FelPro OS3472C set Bill mentioned. All the sellers listed except one, which doesn't appear to be well known or give much detail about themselves, indicate the set is out of stock.

A further search of crenwelge's suggestion on Best Gasket Set 28011 located Vintage Gaskets out of Alabama indicating they have them in stock.

Alternatively, a search of the Best Gasket site and their authorized retailers shows The Filling Station FS-412 which appears to be available.

There may be others, ut didn't have time to search further tonight.

Hope this info helps.

jay d - No idea that I can figure out. headscratch After going back and looking at the O'Reilly's multiple offerings, even though it says its listed to fit your 270, a closer look at their full application lists for each of the products shows they supposedly fit engines that have no relationship to the GMC inline 6. Listings included fitting GMC V-6s, Chevy 261s, Chevy V-8's and so on.

None of the products pictures match the design of the 270 oil pan gasket either. I seriously doubt that what they offer is worth chasing your tail on. not me
