Just got some parts in the mail. I still need to get some mounting hardware. I’ll be able to see the size for the side panels, but not so sure about sill to panel. Prettt sure it’s 1/4x20 but not sure on length, or type of washer if any.
Also would like to know if I need to attach some type of strap to the left and right panels to support them when removing the old panel. I appreciate everyone’s help here these last weeks. I’m definitely taking more than I give. It doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you all.

Maybe its just my vision, but it looks like the top of the replacement panel is bent rearward 90 degrees, whereas the original is bent rearward about 45 degrees. I don't think this has any issues with your installation. Just an observation.

Bill - I'm with Craig on your new front panel doesn't look right for your '52.

Before you start working on it, can you post the vendor and part number of the panel you got? I'm seeing a distinct difference between your original front panel and the new one.

I used a ratchet strap to support the left and right sides when I replaced my front panel. I used the hook under the bottom lip, wrapped the strap up the outside of the panel and across to the other side. You only need one strap, since the rear crossmember supports the rear of each side panel. Pic attached. Make sure to install the long rod in the front panel before you install the panel.

Is this better? Looks like the old one to me. I can definitely be wrong.
