A friend of mine had been wanting to buy my 1952 GMC 470 series COE for some years now. I had always told him mine wasn't For Sale, but I'd do all I could to find him one like it. The 450, and 470 series GMC COEs are pretty Rare, so it took quite a while to find one, but I finally did on Fb Marketplace. I told him about, he purchased it, and my wife, and I went to State College, Pa. this weekend to pick it up for him.

Does it still have a Stovebolt 6 engine? Or is it big enough to sport a Detroit Diesel of some sort, since it's also got air brakes? What an amazing find!

One of my neighbors has an early 1950s big Chevy or GMC cabover stashed away in his equipment shed- - - - -with about a 12 foot flat bed on it. He's also got an elderly D-4 Cat bulldozer parked beside it. I've been trying to buy both of them for 20+ years, and he always says "Talk to my widow once I'm gone!" He's somewhere in his late 80s now, so that just might be the only way to go! Jerry
