Right now is $40.47 for a case of 6 quarts on Amazon Prime. But don't wait...

But they'll deliver to Alaska. We're usually the ones that get left out. Just got a case yesterday.

I order mine directly from Valvolineglobal.com. Right now, six one quart bottles subtotals to $44.96 with free shipping. Don't know about California or Alaska/Hawaii delivery, as I'm in Texas. You can get on the email list and get info on sales, and often times they have a hat, gloves, filter wrench, or some other kind of freebie thrown in.

Is this commonly used in Stovebolt engines? Are there advantages over synthetic oils?

Many people use it in antique engines because of the high ZDDP content which has been removed from modern oils due to its effects on catalytic converters.

The zinc and phosphorus benefits the flat tappet camshafts by creating a sacrificial layer between parts.
