Is it like a contact cement? I do have a bucket of auto cement from fixing dad’s 58 Impala interior. Don’t know if it’s the same.

You don't have to put the glue onto the entire length of the door seal at once. You can work in manageable stages, like 3 feet sections at a time.

I have never used more than one tube for the 2 doors. Too much glue and it won't get tacky and you will make a mess on your surrounding paint that will not come off ever.

What Carl said about doing a few feet at a time. You just need a thin film on the door and the weatherstrip. Wear gloves.
