#16034 02/03/2005 8:06 PM | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 2 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 2 | I am having a huge problem figuring out why my '49 216 idles perfect and runs strong in the upper rpm range but when I go to shift under load (up hills) it falls on it's face and sputters and I have to baby the throttle to get into the power range. :mad:
I"ve checked the timing and the advance which appears to be fine.
Any Ideas???

Check the float level.
