The other day I had the hood open while the engine was running after feeling a slight vibration at idle, and found that the fornt engine mount is oil soaked, buldging, and starting to crack/split making the front of the engine move up + down. I don't know if it was a factory setup or not, but the owner said it was. Try Chevy Duty.

Available through the on-line dealers, or you can make one from a piece of thin sheet.

It doesn't have a metal cover, is there a pic of one of these in the stovebolt gallery? :confused: Will check out some online vendors for both items.  Many thanks, David

I'm puzzled on this as to just which mount you have. Search their site for years 52 to 62, you will find some different mounts used. You will need to compare the pictures to what you have to be sure you order the right part. I would call whatever outfit I was going to order from to be sure what I was getting, some of these can be tricky in getting the right part.
