Dave’s current project.
Built in 1954 as a working truck. It has a sleeper cab made by
Orville metal specialty Co.
Powered by two GMC 302 six cylinder, which use two dual range hydramatic transmissions. One engine drives the rear diff, the other drives the front differential.
Two gas pedals, two sets of gauges…..

How does each set of driven wheels stay in sync with the other?

You sure it isn't a V12? GMC made a 702 cubic inch V12 in the early 60s that was basically two 351 cubic inch V6 engines hooked together in-line. They also had a Twin HydraMatic transmission that was one HM mounted right side up and another under it upside down, giving 7 speeds.

This article, I’ve read before, sounds so similar, I wonder if it’s the same truck!
Dave will let us know, I’m sure.

That's got to be the same truck. Dave is from British Columbia and the license plate on the truck is Washington state. Maybe Dave is the same Dave mentioned in the article.

I thought it might have been built for a mining company for off public hauling.
But, the color looks military. Maybe built specially for the Army?
Seems too wide for public roads maybe.
