1954 GMC ,Is the rubber seal that goes along the top of the cab from the drivers to passenger side one continuous piece or is it two pieces .Mine seems to have a gap below the cowl vent so not sure if it is missing there .
I found a few pictures online and looks like maybe two pieces but on the one picture looks like they tried to extend the seal past the clip . The seal I have is one piece but want to be sure before I cut it

Thanks Phil that is what I needed to know ,my seal was a made up folded piece of rubber that worked good but a have a replacement from Jim Carter and did not want to cut before I was certain.👍
My experience is that the rubber shrinks a bit over time. I don't pull it taught before I mark it and cut. I sort of push the other direction to make sure there is no initial stretch to that rubber. When it shrinks it is not too small.
