Hello. First time posting. I'm working on our former grain truck It's a 1948 Loadmaster. I hauled my grain to the local elevator in the early '80s with this truck. It was a 2nd truck at that time. It sat for 35-40 years before getting it going last fall. I plan to keep the original 235 motor and driveline in it for now, but am putting a pickup style box on. This is not my first rodeo, but I hope to learn lots on this forum. Wes

Just a suggestion, but since your truck is considered a "Big Bolt", many of your questions may best be discussed in our Big Bolts forum where other "Big Bolt" owners will share what they know. Welcome, Wes. We often say that the trucks outcast their owners. Hopefully you can again haul a load of grain to the elevator for old times sake, but not with a pickup box. Good luck with the restoration and be sure to ask if you need help.
Are you making the bed yourself or will you try to find an original bed and customize the fenders?

I have purchased a Chev 1 ton for parts. It has a good bed, with usable fenders. I'm working on wheels and tires options now. I have another post about that in Big Bolts.
