Ive been attempting to put a S 10 T5 in. The granny had a yoke bolted to the trans, on the T5 the yoke is a slip yoke. My problem is i had the 2 pc drive shaft shortened in the front by 11.25 inches or so. The new carrier bearing is same as old one. But with the slip yoke i cant put the carrier bearing in the crossmember with the splines for rear shaft being too long to squeeze in from front
Any ideas? I ground the rivets off the bearing support but the hole in crossmember is to small to put in from rear?
Thanks

I think I'm grasping what you are asking about, but seeing would help in trying to come up with a helpful solution.
