Hi Guys! I have my rear bumper mounted and was looking for some advice. I originally had my tail light wiring going through a hole in the frame using a rubber grommet, but the bumper bracket covers the hole, so I removed wiring and grommet, installed the bumper and ran the wiring between the bed and frame. I guess it would work OK, but I'm thinking about cutting the mounting bracket (or maybe drilling a hole) to have access to the wiring hole. The bumper bracket is 3/8" metal (pretty beefy), but I don't want to cut it if it will cause issues down the road. Please see attached pictures. Thanks for any input.

JMO, but I'd leave the wiring routed over the frame instead of messing with the bumper brackets. I don't think it would cause any issues with the brackets, but it's not worth the effort just to reroute the wiring.

Looks good the way you have it with the wire loom 2nd the leave it be.I don’t know if my 54 has a hole in the frame near the bumper bracket but my wiring goes the route the same as you have done between the frame and the bed.
I think trying to cut out large sections as marked may also reduce the bracket/bumper/tow hitch stability and strength.
Drilling a hole would mean when you need to remove the bumper, that would mean disturbing/disassembling the taillight wiring.

I was going to say the same thing Kevin said. Install a plastic wire loom or that stretchy Chinese Finger puzzle kind and leave it where it is.
