Restoring a 61 K10. I need a NP241C right side drop, my question is can I purchase the front and rear housing for a right side drop and transfer the parts from a left side drop into the transfer case halve ? From the parts breakdown I have seen I don't find different part numbers for left and right.
Gary - I had to go back and read some of your older threads to see more info on your NP241C as it's not what originally came in the '61 K10. I'm not familiar with the NP241C units for parts, but a quick web search provided a couple complete unit pictures which show distinct differences between some pieces of the different drop sides (see below). A little more roaming shows there are a couple of companies that would probably be able to tell you the answer to your question.
I also did a little digging into GM Partswiki and here are links to 3 pages from a 1990 Master Parts Book covering what I could find on the NP241C. Posting here for reference as it may help you with conversations on the NP241C.
