I can answer that, something is not right with your current setup. My wipers on my ‘52, park at the cowl and sweep across most of the windshield, probably close to 120°.

I have looked at my setup (all replacement parts) and cannot see how I can get more travel but a lot of the parts are not readily visible so I may be missing comething. The amount of sweep is basically controlled by the length of the arm attached to the motor (electric in my case) assuming that there is not a lot of lost motion at the wiper arm pivot end. When my motor pivot is vertical (mid-travel) the arm pivots are also vertical the best that I can tell.
