I had to paint a 16 inch rim I bought to replace a bent rim on my 1947 chevy 3100 pickup. The truck is painted red and black and the rims are painted the same color red as the body. I thought it was swift red wa5127 so I ordered a rattle can in that color. However, after painting the rim it is obvious I need a darker color red paint. Who can help me...please? ray durham

Ray - You gotta post a picture of your existing wheels (and probably the recently painted one) in really good light to try and get a close guess to what may be needed.

Any idea what color "red" the truck was painted???

Is having an automotive paint store determine a color match using the bent rim an option? I used a similar approach to match paint on the tailgate for my ‘37.
