For some reason, I've been wanting a flatbed truck even though I have no practical use for one. I just think they just have tons of character and scream work truck. And you really don't see a lot of classic ones on the road. Anyhow, I'm just wondering what a highly original 1959 Apache 3800 1 ton would go for these days? The truck is ready to drive, everything works. Nothing on the truck needs immediate attention in order to drive it away. Not rust rot at all except there's a 2" dent on one of the cab corners. No big deal to me. The flatbed on the truck is essentially new and has been recently fabricated. 4 on the floor with a 283. Appreciate the feedback and I know its difficult without any pics. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 3,370 Crusty Old Sarge | | Crusty Old Sarge Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 3,370 | Alright, you have me drooling. Everyone that knows me knows I have a soft spot for 4 eyed Bolts, and a 1 Ton Flatbed, yep I'm in.. As far as value, that is entirely up to you, what you're willing to pay. If the Truck is as solid as you say, that definitely increases it's value. I gave $2500.00 for my '58 4400 (Thor), it was no where as solid as what your describing. I would start the negotiations low, you can always go up. Of course want pictures, we love pictures..

The Tech Tip is more along the lines of folks wanting to offer their trucks for sale, but you can kinda flip the perspective to apply to something you are looking to buy. PS - Your topic being a 3800 1 Ton best fits in this forum. Let us know how the possible purchase turns out.

I believe it must be priced way above its actual worth, plus I have enough projects to far outlast me already! Jerry
