Great pics, thanks to you both. The wife just ask me when we were going to our next show/cruise in. That’s something I never thought I’d hear LOL.

RLB, nice mine almost always goes with me unless she is doing her other hobby “scrapbooking”. She enjoys the shows a lot.

I had this posted in the Townsend pictures initially. I posted it here also to highlight the Smokey Mountain Nationals for those who may not know about it. It is only a 4 yr old truck show but had almost 400 trucks, 1947 to 1954 this year. The below picture is one row of 3 full rows of trucks. Zoom in to see the trucks. This was a good show in addition to the Southern Bolters annual jamboree. I would highly recommend it if you are in driving distance.

We had The Little Blue Truck day at Seminole County Library Lake Mary today. They put on a great program, read 2 books, had crafts, and sang songs for about 75 kids. They all came for photos and climbed on to the bed of Little Blue. A fun time was had by all.

Our own PaPa Joe had the opportunity to take "Old Blue " to school. The Second Grade class a local Elementary school was learning about the development of Transportation. "Old Blue " and PaPa Joe were happy to participate. Mrs. PaPa Joe, Mary, is a Teacher at the school, PaPa Joe helps out all the time.

Yesterday I went to a show out in the Kiln (pronounced “kill”, Brett Farve’s hometown.) Kind of cloudy day till later then it got sunny and hot. A few older trucks and one I haven’t seem before from New Orleans that got Best of show a 1956 Chevy. That picture is in the next group.

Not playing today (must be nice ...)

Spent a good bit of the day being an apprentice sawyer to a friend at his portable mill. Came home with 3 log's worth of milled lumber (Hickory and Cherry) for a piece I'll be making for him ... in about 18 months! This stuff is pretty wet yet.

Ole Charlie came down the mountain in 4th gear and I only touched the brakes briefly in one curve. Had to drop a gear going back up. No temp or pressure issues. The 261 did great.

Enough for now. Not a particularly heavy load, but enough to smooth out the ride some :)

I was in a transportation parade today with a local church preschool. The Little Blue Truck is very well liked. I was able to get a couple photos with the Chic Fil a cows in the bed of my truck.

Craig,
One of these years, I'll join you going down there. That has always seemed like a great event.

NE Alabama seems to be needing some fire to get truck-related events going. I participated in our "Cruise For Veterans" events Saturday. Only two trucks participating (the other was a '72 F-150). I was the only vehicle with a veteran rider (one of my Legion/VFW brothers).

John, Trucks are getting pretty popular around here at the Shows. There seem to be more young guys getting into the hobby. Most of these are Square Bodies or OSB Trucks.

Local cruisin to the creek car show this last weekend to raise money for Ronald McDonald House charities.

Ran into Chris and his beautiful ‘46 Holmes wrecker.

We had a friendly “Slowest Drag Race” competition.

Our stovebolts bested all of the jeeps in attendance, but eventually his lower rear end gearing beat me out for the bragging rights of slowest vehicle.

A nice day and pleasure to meet a fellow ‘Bolter in person.

Started my first day of Cruisin with a Facebook call for some classics to go to a local nursing home. Only a couple of other trucks besides me and a few other classics. Needless to say the residents were excited for us to be there and it made their day.

After the nursing home I had to go pick up my registration packet from cruise central which is now at the harbor in Gulfport. Seems to be a lot more room but slightly wet because of the rain. Got a lot of good pictures and a variety of trucks. The first picture shows the people registered from each state. Note the far left side with people registered from Australia, Canada, Hawaii etc. That is crazy!

Wow! Good looking trucks!

There are about one and a half times more vehicles registered for that gathering than there are people in the town where I live!

Here are pictures from Waveland. A lot of trucks, wide variety. Man was it a hot day with 89% humidity. Supposed to be much better tomorrow. 🤞🏻
