I had this posted in the Townsend pictures initially. I posted it here also to highlight the Smokey Mountain Nationals for those who may not know about it. It is only a 4 yr old truck show but had almost 400 trucks, 1947 to 1954 this year. The below picture is one row of 3 full rows of trucks. Zoom in to see the trucks. This was a good show in addition to the Southern Bolters annual jamboree. I would highly recommend it if you are in driving distance.

We had The Little Blue Truck day at Seminole County Library Lake Mary today. They put on a great program, read 2 books, had crafts, and sang songs for about 75 kids. They all came for photos and climbed on to the bed of Little Blue. A fun time was had by all.

"Little Blue Truck " is a great ambassador for Kids being introduced to Old Trucks. You and Nelda do a fantastic job working with the Kids.

Our own PaPa Joe had the opportunity to take "Old Blue " to school. The Second Grade class a local Elementary school was learning about the development of Transportation. "Old Blue " and PaPa Joe were happy to participate. Mrs. PaPa Joe, Mary, is a Teacher at the school, PaPa Joe helps out all the time.

That seem to be the current trend, a lot of younger Folks getting into the Hobby with Square Bodies or OBS(Old Body Style, I had to ask).

Spent a good bit of the day being an apprentice sawyer to a friend at his portable mill. Came home with 3 log's worth of milled lumber (Hickory and Cherry) for a piece I'll be making for him ... in about 18 months! This stuff is pretty wet yet.
Ole Charlie came down the mountain in 4th gear and I only touched the brakes briefly in one curve. Had to drop a gear going back up. No temp or pressure issues. The 261 did great.

I was in a transportation parade today with a local church preschool. The Little Blue Truck is very well liked. I was able to get a couple photos with the Chic Fil a cows in the bed of my truck.

Waiting for Alvin to chime in on the Chic Fil A Cow. I think Alvin owns controlling interest in the Company.
