My financial advisor throws a nice client appreciation party each year at Road America , Elkhart Lake Wi.
Good chow -AND 3 laps on that world famous track.
I ran my ‘54 rod up on my buddy’s lift the day before for an oil change and lube.
It was a beautiful evening at the track. My son brought his El Camino.
Enjoy the images.

That’s awesome! Did you break a track speed record on your run?

Road America is a great track, being able to run anything (including your truck) is a great experience.

No , didn’t break the track record.
In the driver’s briefing before going out onto the track we got about 17 warnings about breaking the 45 mile an hour “speed limit” - there were about 40 vehicles in the cruise , mostly every day family cars , all behind a pace car. Last year I was able to stretch out the space in front of me and accelerate up to 73 mph ; bit of a strain going into the next turn. It seemed my truck was recognized and remembered because this year they positioned third car behind the pace car.

That kept my speed pretty much regulated - but also got me a good spot near the front of the buffet line when we came off the track.

Makes my morning at Bonneville Salt Flats look boring, extremely nice truck and Elky. Thank you for sharing, does my heart good to see family relationships working.
