I’m thinking about buying some 6 volt led headlights for my 1952 Chevy 3100. If any of you have installed some in your vehicle , I’d like to know where you got them and what you think of them. I’m not interested in converting my truck to 12 volts. Thanks

6v halogen sealed beam headlights shine as bright and as far as the lights on any modern 12v vehicle.
If you have modern 6v Sylvania, Wagner, or Philips halogen lamps, and they're dim or dull, you need to examine your wiring. Make sure the lighting circuit and the rest of the truck is perfectly grounded.
You also need to make sure they're aimed properly.

LED is great. You get brighter light and no relays required as they draw less current than incandescent bulbs. I have a 12V system, but if you can get 6V H4 bulbs, you should be good to go.
I detest LED headlights and wish others would stop using them at night. Headlight specifications are based on power consumption rather then Lumen output. When the specs were written, that made sense because, with incandescent bulbs, more power means brighter lights. Specs have not caught up to modern technology, where an LED bulb can be well under the power spec but melt the paint off of your car. When the police start writing tickets to every driver who blinds oncoming drivers and the worthless ticks who make the laws catch up to modern tech, I might change my mind.
