Went to the 47th Annual Jay Ofsthun Memorial Show & Shine today and saw some interesting 'Bolts, and a few other cool old vehicles.

Top of the list was a 48 GMC COE on a P30 chassis. It was set up as a car hauler with the engine mounted behind the cab. Nice paint. Pics 1-3.

A 57 Chevy pickup dressed up in Omaha Orange
A nice 1970 C10
A 1941 Chevy Sedan (yeah, I know, it's a car, but still cool)
The star of the show in my mind was a 1902 Oldsmobile that I got to watch the owner (I think he was born the same year the car was built ) fire up and drive away. It sported a 1 cylinder engine with a crank for starting on the right side. I took a video, but can't post that here.

It was a nice sunny day following a rainy one yesterday, so the car show gods smiled on us.

Good to see you too, Dave. I went by the COE shortly after we got there and didn't see that it was the show winner. Not surprising. That was a well-done truck.

The COE is a show stopper, but it looks as if there were quite a few Old trucks there. There is a Blue and White 60's C10 in the background of the picture of the Orange Task Force, it's the only time it's in view. When I was Stationed at Elmendorf in the late 80's there were several show during the summer months, it always surprised me at the number of Classics and Hotrods folks had stashed away.

You're right, Craig, there are lots of Classics and Hotrods that come out of the woodwork for that show. I try to promote Stovebolt.com for those with Chevy trucks when I get a chance to talk with the owner. Those pics were just a small sampling. The show had a record turnout.
