Sorry I couldn't get a better picture. The rod from the carb. passes down between the intake/exhaust (Fenton) manifolds and the engine block and then connects to a swivel mounted on the side of the block. From there it connects to the linkage of accelerator pedal.

Looks good did you make the rod or buy the rod I like the clips that hold it on
It happens that I have a 235 with a Carter Carb on the floor. Attached are photos of the rod as installed and on the tacble. Hope this is what your' looking for
That style clip should be available at your local parts store.

The Fentons are the problem, not the linkage. You'll probably have to do a little custom bending with a torch and a pry bar.
