Can any one explain, or if you have a picture to share, how the emergency bake cable connects to the lever (5.181) when assembling the emergency brake cable and brakes. According to the manual I am not missing any parts. The shop manual, and parts catalogue, show no pictures and make no mention of how it goes together that I can find. It's been years of disassembly so I really don't remember. Thanks for the help.

I couldn't find any better pictures than these. I took more pictures of the front brakes than I did of the rear.

Otto and Utah. Thank you very much. Both extremely helpful. Utah, do you have a part number for the clevis end piece for the cable? I do not see a part number for that and it did not come with the brake cables I received.

bigedpa - I'm not "Utah" but I 'll help out. Here's what you need Classic Industries ME168. These fit 1/2 tons 1936-52 and 1947-52 3/4 & 1 Ton trucks with Huck brakes. Shows they're in stock.
Edit - Utah got back before I could hit the post button - LOL! His linked part is the same as the one I showed, but about $4 more expensive, not counting shipping costs of course.

I actually talked to a sales guys when ordering my E-brake cables and I wished he would have asked me if I needed these clips. I just assumed they came on the end of the cable. Surely would have saved me some time.

Thanks everyone. Utah the pics were very helpful. I went rummaging through my old parts and located the cables with the old clevis' still in tact. Will be slotting them tomorrow. Same experience, went piece by piece with the salesman and no mention that those were not part of the cable assembly. They have been disassembled so long I forgot about them. Now to order them new the shipping is 2x the price of parts.
