Good afternoon Guys n Gals. Im looking to buy some wheels for my 1953 Chevy 1/2 Ton Panel Truck ,3100 series. I found some 15 in. 6 bolt, 7 in. wide Aluminun Slotted Mag type Wheels and Im wondering if anyone knows if they will fit on the front and back of my Panel Truck ?? Im pretty sure they will fit on the back at 7 inches wide but im not sure about the front ?? Im concerned about the width . Assuming that the bolt pattern is right that is. Ive never saw any 6 bolt 15 or 16 in wheels like these in anything smaller than 7 in. wide. Any help will be aprreciated , Thanks,Mark.

Stock wheel width would have been 4.5 inch wide. 7 inch wide wheels would be 1-1/2" closer to the steering components assuming the same offset as stock wheels (which are pretty close to zero offset, IIRC.)
You should measure the offset of those wheels (back rim to wheel mounting surface). Or you can just bolt them on and see.

Sometimes old rigs have drums that are riveted on, and the rivets might not allow the modern wheels to sit flat on the hub face. We occasionally ran into this when I worked at a tire shop and sold alloy wheels to the resto-mod crowd. But it's not too big of a deal to grind 'em off-it's not like that hub pilot drum is going to go anywhere while sandwiched between hub and wheel.
I bought the 4 - 7in. wide Aluminum Slotted Wheels last week for my 1953 Chevy 1/2 ton (3100 series) Panel Truck. On the inside of the wheels they say 15in. Made in U.S.A. , RWI. Is this a brand of wheel ?? Also the wheel studs are about a 1/4 of and inch from just being flush with the outside of the wheel, so that means from what I measure and can see I will need a chrome lug to be a 1 1/4 long plus the thickness of a chrome round type washer. Does anyone know off hand what size the wheel studs are ? meaning nut size. Thanks for any help with this. once I have the nut size and right chrome lugs and washers then I can order them in a kit from Summit Racing.

Your wheel stud thread size is 7/16" x 20 according to this screenshot from a Chevy Master Parts Book (below). Sounds like the wheels you purchased look like this one I found in this evilbay ad. Many good pictures. especially of the reverse side showing the casting identification markings including your mentioned "RW1".
You might find it easier to take one of your wheels to a local wheel shop (if you have one) as they will have a wide variety of the barrel style mag wheel lugnuts and washers to make sure you get the correct length lug nut. Let us know how it turns out.
