What color finish if any?

Looks like the same black that's on the bottom of the cab.

Are you referring to ol' Roy? If so, are you certain that it is unmolested?

Yes to both. It has the same black underneath the cab and under the rear fenders looks the same.

The dry rotted bed boards are still there and everything else has never been apart.

Mine were black but time and use had left not much visible paint there. Still enough there was no doubt they were once black. I used a whirling wire wheel to smooth them a bit and repainted with some brush-on oil based black Rustoleum. I did the same with the front fender braces.
