Finally was able to score a decent deal on an air hose reel. I've tried numerous times to get the curl out of an air hose with no luck. I could have stuck the hose to the Sahara sun for five years and it still would have curled back up. Not bad for $45 and no leaks! Time for search for a place to mount it.

Where were these last night when i needed them? Screwdriver style, ball end, socket screw drivers. Great for going around corners. Yeah, dummy me wanted to build all my accessory drives with stainless button head screws!!

Bought this tool last week. Looking forward to ruining a perfectly good cylinder ridge.

I finally broke down and bought a Rivnut tool. I have one at work and use it a lot. I bought this one to mount my Cab Lights with.

I found this set on Amazon, I had a Gift Card so it cost me nothing. It lists for $55.00.

Picked up a cheap Harbor Freight tire changer at a yard sale last Sunday. It will come in handy repairing UTV and lawnmower tires.

Picked up a snout tool. It is designed to allow you to thread a crankshaft snout so you can install a balancer without beating it on with a hammer. It worked like a champ. Threaded the snout on my 283. I believe the 235 has the same size snout.

Who got cool tools from Santa and what did he bring you?

I recently picked up a very nice articulating/worm drive 5/8" spark plug socket specifically for the 302. It's a tight fit under that custom intake manifold. Plus a pair of mini pry bars. They are only 3" long, if even that. Today I will go find an electric kitchen knife to help with foam cutting on some seats I'm upholstering.

Santa (aka someone's Grandkids - hahaha) dropped off a couple of nice new "clutch head" bit sets and a very appropriate calendar for the shop wall.

I picked up a ZIM Valve Adjustment Tool. Probably not necessary, but what the heck.........

So yesterday I came across a couple of nice items that just said "please take us home" - LOL! So I did, for less than $20.

Old, but still very ready to do their job, with nice boxes and all the correct parts. They may not get any regular use, other than maybe at "show-n-tell" during this month's Genuine Chevy/GMC Truck Club of KC meeting this Sunday. You never know though, so better to have on-hand!

Wow. Turning the cutter just a fraction of an inch without cutting will dull the cutter rapidly. I'd be afraid to start

Just purchased replacement bulbs for the halogen portable shop light.
Those halogen bulbs are great in the winter...not only do they give you light were you want it, but they keep you warm too!
But in the warmer months, I still need light, but found myself wrestling with other sources to avoid the heat generated by the halogen bulbs. Then it dawned on me that someone probably made an LED replacement bulb that I could use in the summer!
I got some LED replacements from Amazon and the difference is amazing!
There are a couple different lengths, so make sure that you consider that when ordering. (Ask how I know...)
Just figured that I would mention it here in case this solution had not occurred to anyone else.

Nick - Those are a great idea and LED's should draw a whole lot smaller bit of electricity to make it a little easier on wallets. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the info, Nick!! I just dropped a shop light with the halogen bulb in it. Now I know what to look for in a replacement!!

Had to get me another light! Snap On, 12" bar light. Most favorite, so far.

I saw a guy's picture of an LED light with magnetic base, so bought a pair of them for myself and a pair for my son-in-law. LINK
Pretty handy as they swivel multiple directions. One of mine was DOA (wouldn't hold a charge overnight), but the second one works well. I guess that's why they sell them in two-packs. Cheap Chinese stuff.

Not many. I bought it specifically for tune duties on the straight six. So it goes from house, to garage, to project, to bouncing off the project floor, then repeat.

I have one like that. It was the old Stovebolt HQ laptop. Its not capable of supporting any of the graphics stuff anymore so now it is living in retirement running my laser engraver in the wood shop and running you tube videos while I work.

I'm wearing out my iPhone and air pods by listening to YouTube while I work. Occasionally, I'll glance for a visual. For the most part, I find it helps me stay focused.
