Ok, I have a 1953 Chevrolet 3600 3/4 ton truck.my truck has a 235 in it.
I wanna purchase a new gas tank and mount it in the rear of the truck.
My question is, will the mechanical fuel pump be able to move the fuel from the rear end of my truck to the engine?
Or will I have to go with an electric fuel pump

Other vehicles I own, none of which have electric fuel pumps, move fuel without any difficulty all the way from the end of the car. My Cadillac fuel pump sits on top of the engine and has to pump the fuel through over 15 feet of fuel line.

I can tell you all three of my old trucks have frame underbed fuel tanks with mechanical pumps.
Also went with 8an fuel lines. One all the way to the carb. Never a problem.
