Hi there everyone. Looking to buy a decent engine compression tester for my Chevy 292. Obviously don't wanna spend an arm and a leg. HF has one for about $60. Might just go this route unless someone has another suggestion. Appreciate it. thumbs_up

Edit: I just found out that AutoZone has a loaner tool program. Just called them. You simply buy the tool, use it, and then return it within 30 days for a full refund. Sounds like a plan to me. Pretty cool

Advance Auto Parts does the same thing. Unless you're using a specialty tool frequently, it makes a lot of sense to borrow them.

I've borrowed tube flaring kits, radiator pressure testers, valve spring compressors, steering wheel pullers, etc.
