I'm assembling my 1953 bed, and have been using the old instruction that I got from Mar-K several years ago. Those instructions came with some bed parts that I bought when I was building the bed for my 1940 truck. I'm sure that the 2 beds are similar, but I just realized that some of the measurements are different. So, I got on this site hoping to find some bed build details that I could print out for my 53 truck. I found some bits of info, but nothing like the old Mar-K paperwork. Can one of you folks point me in the right direction please. I realize that building these beds is largely common sense, but I still like to have instructions when their available.

Mike... I am going to TRY to put the Mar-K instructions right here in form of a PDF... let me know if it works, or does not work.

I can't get the PDF shown in the box to drop in (the box). However, the link below the box, with the hot link to the PDF works great. It opens in a new tab and is all there in a jiff.

Thanks for posting it.

Try gmc Paul’s website ,lots of measurements if you are using your own wood to make a bed.
