On my 1946 3/4 ton, the Brake & clutch pedals (the actual part that your foot touches) - on my truck when the pedals are in there normal upright position, in other words not being stepped on, the brake pedal extends closer to the seat than the clutch pedal. At the "Back to the 50's" show this past weekend, I saw a 1946 truck there, but the pedals were both extended equally. Not sure what is the correct way, outside on the bottom of the toe pan, both pedals on my truck appear to be positioned correctly. If anyone can tell what is correct for this 46 truck I would appreciate it very much.

The pedals should be about even with each other. My guess is the return springs and/or the brackets used for their mounting on your truck is the problem.

Can you post photos of the pedals and the attachments to the springs and brackets?

Here's a picture of my '46 pedals before I disassembled everything.
