Hi!
I haven’t been on in awhile.
My name is Don. If any of you frequent Smokstak I’m Monsonmotors.
I recently traded a fairly nice unrestored ‘35 Chevy two door sedan with local (but unrelated to me) family history for a 1938 Chevy pickup.
I’m much more a truck guy than a car guy.
The truck I got came in a hundred pieces. But the sheet metal is nice even by dry central CA standards.
It had three wrong wheels but due to my collection I dug up three correct wheels.
So far, missing grill and hood ornament. But, the search is still ongoing.
All sheet metal including nice rear fenders and a good tailgate are here.
Previous owner appears to have restored the frame about 50 years ago. I would say nearly 99% dry inside storage since then.
I will have lots and lots of Chevy pickup questions.
Thank you!

First, welcome to the ‘bolt! Sounds like a great start for your project. We would love it, if you could tell us a bit about your truck, its history, your goals and what if any, you have already accomplished on restoring your truck.

And of course we ‘Bolters love pictures so please post a few more.

Let me give you this helpful guide to help you navigate thru the different forums on Stovebolt.

Again, Welcome to the ‘Bolt

Welcome back to Stovebolt! thumbs_up It's only been a "little bit" since you last posted - lol! grin Looks like you traded UP! thumbs_up As others mentioned, we'd love to see more pics and hear a bit more on your new truck. For possible help with your known (and maybe not yet discovered missing parts), check out our Swap Meet Forums area where you may find leads to something you're in need of, or can post an ad of your own to ask for help in locating/sourcing those hard to find parts. See you in the forums! wink
