Hey PaulH, where are you at in Michigan? a couple of us from the southeast area met up at a small car show in Webberville, that was 3 years ago. I take my '57 to local shows, within 25 miles of the house. I did drive it to DougH's place where he is doing a fantastic job resurrecting his grandfathers '56 2 ton, roughly a 65-70 mile round trip.

Lakeview on 46?, my ex and her family lived in Howard City, kinda' where 46 dead-ends at 131. I'm not very good at keeping up with bigger shows or gatherings, born and raised in Ann Arbor and never been to the Woodward cruise. Hopefully some members will come up with something we could gather at.

Well, alrighty then, since we have old trucks and ride a Fat Boy, I'm gonna' say we are exempt from having to do the Woodward scene. Thats my story and I'm stickin' to it. Be safe.

I quit doing the Woodward Dream Cruise with my 1939 Chevrolet 3/4 Ton Stake Truck about 6 years ago. You can't cruise it any more due to all the spectators in their modern vehicles. Takes an hour to go one mile. Not fun when you have a manual transmission. I do go to the Edward Hines Cruise every year weather permitting. Only vehicles 25 years or older are allowed. If you fellow truckers want to have a good time that is the cruise to go and meet each other. Check it out on the internet. I reside in the Saline, Michigan area.
Hey Rick G, Agreed on Woodward Dream Cruise. It is a site to see for sure, but a little too much. Definitely would not recommend taking a true classic there.... My Dad and I have been to the "Cruisin Hines" show several times and always enjoy it. Perhaps we could get a group together this year...? The date for this year's show is August 24th. http://cruisinhines.com/ We are planning on making the Coldwater, MI show & Swap meet this year as well. I haven't been in several years, but it was always great in the past. May 10th & 11th. Located at THE BRANCH COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS IN COLDWATER, MI (Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm) Nothing says Relaxing Mother's Day weekend like a great car show and swap meet!!
Sounds like the Coldwater, MI show has been updated to a Friday/Saturday show. May 9th & 10th. I'm hoping to make it at least Friday afternoon. Need to check out the swap meet as I'm looking for a driver's side door rain deflector for my 54'.....if anyone happens to have one available in the Great Lakes Region, please let me know. Thank You!
A friend from my church invited me to The Henry Ford Museum, this Father's day weekend was the annual Motor Muster for modern vehicles up to 1981. I think they count over seven hundred vehicles. This was my first time at the Motor Muster, it is certainly a great experience, thanks to anyone who may have had some contribution to this gathering of "car" folks. There were a few very nice trucks, and I was happy to see some there, the show was mainly focused on Late 30's through late 70's muscle but every vehicle there was special.
