I need to install power steering in my 1950 3100 with a 6 cyl 235 and a 3 speed on the column. I definitely want to keep the colum shift.I know I will have to cut the steering column and do a little welding. I have perused a few different kits on the market. CCP has one and Tuckers sells one. I hope some one on the Stovebolt forum has done a 6 cylinder power steering conversion already. I would appreciate any tips or direction in doing this conversion if possible. Thanks Don
Don - CCP doesn't mention it at all in their advertisement info, but Tucker's (which is virtually the same kit) offers an IMPORTANT NOTE concerning the kit installation while retaining your "3 speed" on the column steering column and shifter.
Your work involved is going to be significantly more than a little cutting and welding.
Perhaps this thread would be better discussed in the HiPo SHop forum?
