Thanks Bill. It's not the same size but but it's close. I'll give them a call.

Mickey - The original seal is GM# 3746212. The same seal is used for the standard 3 speed in your truck plus it also fits Powerglide transmissions from the same time period. You can find a few NOS seals offered on eBay as well as other vendors with aftermarket replacements. A couple of our usual vendors are listed below.

The Filling Station sells them as a Powerglide Rear Seal

Jim Carter offers them as a 1955 and later 3 speed/Powerglide/Turbo 350 rear seal under PN: ME505

Thank you.

Thank you.

No problem Mickey. You know I enjoy researching the info and being able to help out when I can. BTW - Your original ID (Inner Diameter) you listed above of 1-1/4" is a tad off. The correct inner diameter for the seal is 1-1/2". Bolter rfs56trk is also 100% accurate that the seal "P/N 9613S" is correct for your application too. You can see that number cross references to the original GM# 3746212 (among many others) if you scroll down this finditparts.com part details page. They also provide detailed measurement specs for those interested in that level of detail. smile

Thanks Fred. I'm finding out part of the problem is "punctuation ", a listed item may show it fits a
"3 speed Powerglide", TH350, Hydromatic, etc. Makes it look like it only fits automatics.
