I traded for a few truck beds today and one has an extra hole I haven't seen before. 47- 53 style bed with a hole on passenger side behind stake pocket that looks like a gas fill hole, factory punched hole that still has what looks like Forester green paint.
What bed do I have?

1947 and 1948 trucks had the fuel tank under the bed, and the filler thru the passenger side of the bed. Fuel tank moved into the cab in 1949.

Not in the bed, attached to the frame under the bed.
