Had the emblem re-plated and ready to paint. Are the vertical black stripes painted on the bottom only or are the sides painted also? Same question for the bowtie. Asking because mine had been repainted and I want to get it right.

Emblems on my truck and emblems of other vehicles I've seen never seem to be painted on the sides. The paint was applied at 90 degree angle to the emblem which would make it extremely difficult to get any on the sides.
