I found the 'Construction and Operation of the Two Speed Axle Shift Control Valve' manual in my 1956 Chevrolet Product Data Book and thought those with the 2-speed vacuum shift rears might like to see it! laalaa

Thank you Mike, that is a nice piece of info. I sourced my 2 speed from member DougH, the pig and valve were a direct fit for my truck. I disassembled the valve prior to mounting it, cleaned and lubed it, working very nicely and didn't have to replace any interior parts.

The diff looks similar to my 46, but my valve is dash mounted and a sealed unit, no cable.
