John - I got the same error message when I clicked on that little PayPal button in the donations page. I've sent Peggy a direct message to alert her to the problem, but in the meantime you can still make a donation.

Just go to and login to your PayPal account, then enter "[email protected]" in the box for who you want to send a payment to in order to make a payment. I just did that to test that it works and confirmed my payment went through. I was planning on sending a donation this weekend anyhow, so two birds with one stone - hahaha! grin

We will attempt to get to the bottom of this. PayPal is very hard to get ahold of. Thanks for the heads up, both of you and that work around Dan! John, your donation made it thru! (Dan's, too!) grin

I had a chance to check in on PayPal problem. After going through a long checklist, I got to the bottom where I don't know what they are asking. ??? So, I had passed this on to Paul. It *may* have something to do with the "security stuff" we have on Stovebolt end. Stay tuned.

You should be able to fix this yourself on the https://www.stovebolt.com/office/thanks.html page.

Change "https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" to simply "https://www.paypal.com"

That link takes one to the PayPal home page. I think that Home page will work for folks with a PayPal account already and they just have to search for "[email protected]" like Dan said. The button that's on the Thanks page went directly to our Stovebolt Page account.

If you want a more sophisticated way to do it there is this: https://developer.paypal.com/studio/checkout/no-code
