on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2022 Posts: 72 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2022 Posts: 72 | Hey Guys, Looking for advice on how to determine the seat belt length I need for my 1953 3100. I plan to do lap belts only at this point as I am not in the process of a overhaul and just trying to replace the belts I took out of the truck. The belts I removed were installed via Rube Goldberg Instructions (attached to my seat frame) and were ridiculously long. I think the 60-inch belt will suffice but figured I would ask before hitting the Buy Now button. Thanks for any advice

I estimated on my 66, eyeballed from the attachment point, etc, and the center lap belt is barely long enough for my skinny kid with the seat all the way back.
Doing it again I would take a piece of rope and tape.it to a mounting point, run it all the way around with the seat forward for the longest it needs to be. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2022 Posts: 72 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2022 Posts: 72 | Ferris, Thanks, I think that is a good idea and will try it. Better than guessing based on the length of the old seat belts that were not made for this truck and were too long.

I measured and then moved my belt placement, now the clasp is harder for my kids to buckle.
