Bought a project, passenger door is stuck shut, thinking just tight and maybe a little rust. I tried to force a bit but it seems stuck good. Any ideas on what to try? thanks

Can you get inside the truck at all? I assume it's the '46? Can you remove the door panel and get in there to see or work the mechanism?

Please come back and add more details about what truck you are working on and perhaps some pictures to help us understand and see what you are working with.

I have tried both, it seems to be working judging by the feel of the handle when operating it, I may just have to remove the inside panel and look inside. It is on my 1941 Chevrolet pickup.

I went through this with my driver side door when I bought it. I ended up having to straighten a piece inside the mechanism. Works like a champ now. I suspect someone tried forcing the handle when it was locked at some point. I added a pic with a red arrow to show where I heated it up a little and bent it just a touch.
