While in the process of rebuilding my Rochester Carb for my '55 235, I came back to notice a deep dent in one side of the float (actually on one float, since there are two attached floats). I'm not sure if this was like this or I (or someone else) accidentally set something down on the workbench and crushed it  ... either way it's damaged now. The float does not appear to be punctured, and I still have the rebuild kit for the carb. Here's my question: what do I do?!?!?

Do I use the floats as is and continue to rebuild the old (and quite dirty) carb, find a new set of floats, or replace the entire carb? If I do decide to replace the carb, what carbs can I replace it with? My goal for this truck right now is to get it on the road and be a reliable driver (ideally)... I'm also a college student so I can't spend too much money for parts (or at least I shouldn't, but we all know how that goes

) Please, any help you guys have to offer would be appreciated!
