I pulled the cover off to remove my wiper motor and I’m not sure if people put insulation in that area. It does appear to be an old mouse nest. Just seeing if anyone puts insulation up there? Then I would. Thanks

Just my $.02 worth, but I wouldn't put any insulation in that space. It would likely trap/hold moisture causing potential rust damage that would could go unseen until it starts showing through from the inside out. frown

Great. Thanks. I don’t much like it in there a mess to clean. Can I also lube hinges for windshield through this area or do I need to remove molding on outside of windshield. (Or do I need to start new thread).

Ponchogl - Your new question about the lubricating windshield hinges should fit in this forum just fine considering they appear to be accessed through the wiper access cover area. I'll leave the answer on how to access and lube the hinges to fellow Bolters with 1941-46 trucks as they will know more than I do about that topic. wink
