I just picked up a 41 Chevy dump truck. I got it running yesterday. It looks like I have a 63-67 Rochester BV carb from what I can tell. Tag # 7023000 I want to rebuild it and maybe do something with the choke, but before I do I'd like to hear what folks thoughts are on the carb. Is it considered a good carb? I don't know if I should go back to the stock carb or stick with what's on it. The motor is a 1937 216 rebuilt in 1953. It's bored .060" etc according to a tag on the valve cover. It looks like they built it into a 235 ci.
The tag number is actually 7023000 (1963 and 1964 Chevrolet 230 CID).
