Replacing the carrier bearings 46 1/2 ton, original carrier. Hyatt KA-11455-Z is not available as far as I can tell. National KC-11455-Y appears to be a substitute. Has anyone used these or have a recommendation for the Hyatt.

bigedpa - I did a bit of searching in GMpartswiki and came across a later Master Parts Book that shows those are listed as GM# 7450385 and HYATT CK 11445 X as the later replacement to your original part number info. I'm not sure if the National number is a good cross reference or not, but a little web searching shows that Chev's of the 40's offers Part# 7450385, listed as the correct bearing for your application. Looks to be a decent price, at least compared to a few NOS GM bearings I found on evilbay. Also a better price than the National KC11455Y I could find for sale too.

I think you will find the quality of the Chev's of the 40's bearings to be comparable to the GM originals. Others will probably chime in with additional info. wink

Gdads Thanks. I have talked to chevs of the 40’s. Great folks but the bearings are on a 2 month back order. Price is very good especially because the sell the race, bearing combo. Was trying to find an alternative around the same price range. Most everything is almost triple or better

Talked to the folks at the filling station and the said the national kc bearing is an equivalent to the Hyatt ka. Found it for $50 and will have it by Saturday. Paid a little more but the project rolls on.

Glad you were able to find what you need. Perhaps you can come back and update on how the "equivalent" National bearings work out? wink
