well it all depends how thick will it cut and what all do you get with it for accessories and is it 110 or 220. Let me know i work with plasma cutters on a daily basis and the ones i work with are any were from portable for 1000 to fixed table units over 50k so i think i can let you know if it is worth is

The cheaper the unit the more critical is the repair function. One little Pfffft and you're sittng there with a $400 Geranium planter 'cause no one works on them and there are no parts or they weren't built to be repaired in the first place.

With this type of equipment there are things more important long term than initial cost......
